ActiveServer Components Form the Cornerstone of New Company
TYLER, Texas November 18, 1997 Stephen Genusa, recognized source for the Microsoft IIS, ASP and ISAPI FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) web sites, the ASP and ISAPI Developers Sites and developer of ASP (Active Server Page) components, announced the formation of ServerObjects Inc. This announcement initiates ServerObjects Inc. and Genusas focused effort to expand the development and distribution of components for the Microsoft ActiveServer platform.
"Were excited about the development of ServerObjects Inc." said Stephen Genusa, president of ServerObjects, Inc. "The company will allow us to focus on the continued development of Microsoft ActiveServer components. Were a believer in the direction Microsoft is taking server development. We look forward to the continued development of server based components that meet the needs of Internet and intranet developers."
ServerObjects Inc.s mission is to support application development, in an Internet and intranet oriented world, by developing and distributing components that provide solutions focused on the server. This mission is in keeping with the Microsoft and industry focus on components for application development. With the refinement of OLE control specifications to better fit the Internet model of distributed computing, ActiveX and its related Component Object Model (COM) are the component standards for Windows development. ServerObjects Inc. will focus on the development and distribution of components, based on these standards. ServerObjects Inc.s Active Server Page (ASP) components form the cornerstone of this commitment.
"The launch of ServerObjects Inc. illustrates the dramatic shift towards component-based web computing solutions" said J Allard of Microsoft. "Stephen has provided excellent support to the IIS community through his components, FAQs and IIS developer's sites. I anticipate that ServerObjects Inc. will continue adding exceptional value to the IIS and NT Server community."
